Enthusiast Gaming And Crypto Miner Hut 8 Partner For NFT, Metaverse, Web 3.0 Projects

 Esports, gaming and media company Enthusiast Gaming has announced a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with Toronto based cryptocurrency mining company Hut 8.

As part of agreement, Hut 8 will become a sponsor for its first-person shooter game EV.IO and esports organization Luminosity Gaming.

As described in the release, both companies will work together on new experiences and content in the mobile and blockchain gaming, Web 3.0, NFT and cryptocurrency sectors. The deal follows one just announced by the Pittsburgh Knights esports organization. The Knights will launch their NFT collection after partnering with Theta Labs.

Hut 8’s content be integrated throughout Enthusiast Gaming’s communities, games and experiences. Hut 8 will also provide infrastructure support services by hosting Enthusiast Gaming in its Canada data centers.

2021 was a busy year for Enthusiast Gaming. The company acquired League of Legends data visualisation service U.GG, data platform Tabwire LLC and strategy guide platform Icy Veins. In addition, Enthusiast Gaming secured deals with ESPAT TV, TikTok and G FUEL.

Jaime Leverton, CEO of Hut 8, added: “We’re excited to host Enthusiast Gaming in our data centres and collaborate on new experiences and content that will connect us to their audience of 300 million Gen Z and Millennial viewers, the majority of whom are crypto-savvy.”

Esports Insider says: This partnership will mark the first time Hut 8 has come together with an esports-oriented company. Moreover, this is Enthusiast Gaming’s first partnership with a digital asset miner. It will be interesting to see what new experiences and content the two companies will come up with and how Hut 8 will be interested across Enthusiast’s properties.
